Shop Time app for iPhone and iPad

Welcome to the Shop Time app!
Take this app shopping with you and use it to calculate how much an item is on sale for.
For example, you see a sign, 25% off!  So how much is the item?  This app can help!
You can also use the app to calculate how much an item will be after you use a coupon.
The app will show you how much the sale and coupon save you on the item and the sale price.
Also, for example, with sales where the signs will say something like, On sale! 25% off plus an additional 15% off!  This app can help you.  It has a box to enter the additional percentage also.
Instructions are included in the app.  To access them, press the blue ? symbol in the upper left corner of the screen (iPhone).  Or press the "Info" button in the upper left corner of the screen (iPad).

Instructions
Touch the "Price Tag" box to enter the items original price.  Then press the "Done" key on the keyboard.
Note - Do not enter the $ sign, just type the total.  For examle, for $25.95 just type 25.95

Touch the "Sale Percent" box to enter the percentage off the item is on sale for.  Then press the "Done" key on the keyboard.
Note - Do not enter the % sign, just type the number.  For examle, for 50% just type 50

Touch the "Extra Percent Off" box to enter an additional percent the item is on sale for.  Then press the "Done" key on the keyboard.
For example, if the item is on sale for 25% plus an additonal 15% off, enter 25 in the "Sale Percent" box and enter 15 in the "Extra Percent Off" box.
To change the settings, press the "Options" button that is next to the box.  In the screen that appears, press the button for the setting you would like to use.  Press the "Back" button when you are finished to return to the main screen.
To calculate the sale with the new setting, press the "Calculate" button.
For example, if you would like to apply the extra percent off on the items sale price, then select the "Items sale price" button.
To apply the extra percent off to the items original price, press the "Items original price" button.
Note - when you press the "Reset" button, the setting will be set to "Items sale price".

You can also use this app with coupons!  Touch the "Coupon Total" box to enter the amount your coupon is for.  Then press the "Done" key on the keyboard.
For example, if the item is $19.95 and you have a coupon for $1.50, enter 19.95 in the "Price Tag" box and enter 1.50 in the "Coupon Total" box.

To use sales tax, touch the "Sales Tax" box to enter the rate you would like to use.  Then press the "Done" key on the keyboard.
Or press the "Options" button that is next to the box.  In the screen that appears, you can select the general rate for a state by pressing the button for that state.  You can also press the "No Tax" button to use a tax rate of 0.  Note - pressing the "Reset" button will return the sales tax rate to 0.

To calculate your sale, press the "Calculate" button.
The Total Saved will display how much the sale saves you on the item.
Sale Price will display the price the item is on sale for.

Note - The Total Saved does not include Sales Tax.
It displays the total saved from the items original price after the sale and any coupon is applied before the sales tax is applied.

Press the reset button to clear the boxes to enter a new sale.

Troubleshooting - Press the "Reset" button.

To change the background color on the iPhone:
Press the blue "?" button. Then press the "Options" button. Then select the background color you want.

To change the background color on the iPad:
Press the "Info" button. Then press the "Options" button. Then select the background color you want.
